MAKE A FIRST TRACK

Open the studio. Make some noise. Leave with audio and a way back in.

1. Enter. On rawdisco.com, press RD-909.EXE. On a phone, tap ENTER STUDIO or continue directly; the workstation supports portrait and landscape.
2. Build the groove. In the sequencer, tap a square in the Kick row to turn a hit on. Tap it again to cycle through its velocity levels and then off. Add Snare or Clap on beats 2 and 4, then try a Closed Hat between kicks.
3. Set the pace. Use the BPM ▲ ▼ buttons, choose STEPS (8, 16, 24 or 32), and move SWING if the groove needs a lean. Press ▶ PLAY to listen; press the transport again to stop.
4. Add a voice. Find the rawTAURUS row. Open its track menu and choose OPEN SYNTH to shape the sound. Open PIANO ROLL from that menu to draw notes. Drag a note's right edge to change its end; hold Shift while dragging for finer resizing.
5. Balance. Press 🎛 MIXER. Move a channel fader to set level, PAN to place it, and M or S to mute or solo. Watch the master meter; return to the sequencer with the same view button.
6. Take it with you. Open OPTIONS → EXPORT MASTER (.WAV). Your browser will save a WAV or show a DOWNLOAD link; use that link if it appears. Then choose EXPORT PATTERN (.RD) to keep the editable project. Both files have different jobs.
